Prof. (Dr.) Sreeram Chaulia

Prof. (Dr.) Sreeram Chaulia is a distinguished social scientist and thought leader, widely recognised for his expertise and incisive commentary on issues of international diplomacy, global governance, and national security, with a special focus on India’s role. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the prestigious Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, USA. He earned a Master of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the same institution, and a Master of Science in the History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK.

Dr. Chaulia currently serves as the Director General of the Jindal India Institute and as Professor and Dean at the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in Sonipat, India. Under his leadership, JSIA has become one of India’s premier institutions for the study of International Relations. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Chaulia is also an author of six books and is a widely respected columnist and commentator on international current affairs. His opinion pieces have been published in leading global and Indian media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Japan Times, South China Morning Post, The Straits Times, The Times of India, The Hindu, The Economic Times, Mint, and Dainik Jagran. Dr. Chaulia has also served as an op-ed columnist for The Globalist, Asia Times, and Financial Express, contributing his analysis on a wide range of topics, from global economic crises to national security challenges. His views are frequently sought by radio and television stations. He also anchors the popular TV show “Indian Diplomacy” on Doordarshan, India’s national broadcaster, where he discusses India’s foreign policy and its role in the world.
