Jindal India Institute (JII) aims to deliver comprehensive and impactful training programmes that spread global awareness about India’s extraordinary accomplishments and potential in the 21st century and enhance its leadership role in the world. We educate foreign diplomats, civil servants, and journalists through immersive one day certificate courses. By facilitating knowledge exchange and mentorship opportunities, we sensitise foreign audiences to the India Story and the Indian Century.
In the last six months, JII has conducted three training such programmes, training more than 80 diplomats and journalists from 42 countries, international organisations, and news agencies. Read the detailed report of each of the programmes below:
Mandate
- Conduct trainings of foreign diplomats, civil servants and students via ‘India Immersion’ and other types of short-term certificate courses on themes like ‘Understanding Indian Politics, Party System and Elections’, ‘Doing Business in India’, ‘The Investment Climate in India’, ‘Indian Society, Culture and Economy’, ‘Navigating Self-Reliant India or Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Ecological Lessons from India’, ‘The Spiritual Essence of India’, and ‘The Greatness of India as a Civilisational State’.
- Host Indian expatriate youth from the diaspora on the JGU campus for specially designed ‘India Immersion’ courses during summer and winter vacations so that the cultural bonds between them and India are strengthened
- Provide a base and a platform for ‘Friends of India Abroad’ to use materials and resources developed by JII and deliver their own trainings and sessions in their respective countries so that foreign audiences are sensitised to the India Story and the Indian Century
- Host entrepreneurs and start-up founders and entrepreneurs from foreign partner countries in India to provide insight, expertise, mentorship, and exposure to counterparts in India
- Institutionalise links between Indian and foreign start-up ecosystems to aid in providing opportunities in market penetration, promotion of technologies, and growth in both directions
- Promote women leadership exchanges where women CEOs or founders in foreign countries network with and speak to aspiring businesswomen and founders in India and vice-versa
- Support two-way knowledge dissemination between companies in the India and foreign corporations to help businesses on both sides to upgrade and transform their practices
